..Scout Series..
Medium, soft form cast concrete, hi-gloss polyurethane, gold leaf & steel.
This body of work explores the rabbit as a metaphor for colonial incursion—introduced under the guise of familiarity and control, yet rapidly becoming a symbol of unchecked occupation. Cast in concrete, reflecting the material and ideological weight of settlement: permanence, erasure, and the reshaping of landscape and narrative.
Positioned within Australia’s postcolonial context, the series examines inherited myths of land ownership, identity, and belonging. The use of concrete—ubiquitous in the built environment—underscores the tension between natural systems and imposed order.
These works are held in both public and private collections throughout Australia.
