The Stand up and Play Foundation hosted a golf tournament on Wednesday, July 27th in order to raise funds for a paramobile preceded by a clinic by Anthony Netto of the Stand Up and Play Foundation.
The paramobile is a power wheelchair with a stand up function ideal for adaptive golf which was donated to Crab Meadow Golf Course for use by disabled veterans and individuals.
The “Paragolfer” not only helps those who are disabled to enjoy this great sport, but it also can be used to improve their mobility and their mental and physical health.
I would like to commend Anthony Netto, founder and creator of the "Paragolfer" and Breid Fischer, of the Long Island Chapter of “Standup & Play” for their commitment towards our veterans and those with disabilities.
I am pictured with Crab Meadow Golf Course Director Mike Gaffney; outing organizer Breid Fischer; Crab Meadow Golf Pro Darren Maille; Metropolitan PGA Hope Organization representative Kelly Clayton; and Stand Up and Play founder Anthony Netto.
