Chapin Rainbow Stage to be Unveiled at Heckscher Park Concert

We are hosting a special concert to honor the life of singer, Grammy Award-winning songwriter and social activist Harry Chapin.  At the concert we will unveil the new “Chapin Rainbow Stage” marquee that is named in Chapin’s honor.

On Saturday, June 27th, Heckscher Park will feature a one-night only concert performed by the family of the late singer-songwriter Harry Chapin from 8:30pm. Before the show starts we will unveil the new Chapin Rainbow Stage marquee

You can also donate non-perishable food and loose change into donation boxes entitled, “Harry Keep the Change,” will pay homage to Chapin’s famous song “Taxi”.  All proceeds will go towards Long Island Cares— the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
