Councilman Cuthbertson hosts 7th Annual Hunting-Tony Awards

There’s no Tony like a Hunting-Tony!

Had a great time last night at the John W. Engeman Theatre in Northport Village hosting the Town of Huntington’s 7th Annual Hunting-Tony Awards.

Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners! It was a great evening filled with cheers and smiles on the red carpet, and wonderful selection of performances that added to the excitement of the evening.

I began the Hunting-Tony awards to celebrate and recognize the talent, dedication, and hard work exhibited by all of the students involved in their high school productions and the immense effort that is put into each and every show.

A big round of applause to all of the students who attended the Hunting-Tony awards last night - whether they were actors, dancers, orchestra pit, stage crew, tech or costumes – you’re contributions helped to make your schools’ shows a success!

I wish the best of luck to all schools with future productions, and I extend my sincere thanks to all of the students, teachers, staff, and parents for all of the time and effort that they put into each and every one of these shows.  I would also like to thank Kevin O’Neill and Richard Dolce of the John W. Engeman Theatre for hosting this annual event in their lovely theatre, and thank you to Fred’s Carpet of East Northport for sponsoring the red carpet event each year.
