Recently, the Town of Huntington joined the board members and staff of the Dolan Family Health Center at their 20th Anniversary Celebration held on the front lawn of their 284 Pulaski Road address in Greenlawn.
The Dolan Center, which opened its doors in 1995, receives 30,000 visits each year, is responsible for over 9,000 patients and is a true safety net for the community. The Center was created to assist our community in meeting a growing demand to provide health care to those who were and remain unable to obtain necessary medical assistance.
For two decades, the doctors, nurses and support staff at the Dolan Center have provided invaluable and loving care to those residents who need a helping hand.

Fourteen teams consisting of 4 players each converged at Mill Dam Park in Halesite on Saturday, August 1, 2015 to compete in the Town of Huntington Bocce Tournament at the four new bocce courts located there.
Bocce is an old world sport that combines bowling, marbles and the precision of golf. The sport takes skill as a player tosses a two pound ball down a 76 foot long dirt court. Whether aiming for the pallini (a small white sphere that looks like a cue ball) or trying to bump the opposition's ball out of the way, it certainly is more difficult than it looks.
In the end, first place went to “Team American Bocce Club” (Peter Rabito, Bradlee Thayer, Joe Limandri, Guy Desanti,) second place to “Team Queens” (Tony Lisotta, Grace Anzalone, Josephine Stasio, Vinny Guarnaccia) and third place to “Team Croatia” (Dennis Budinich, Rob Bak, Joey Mezic, Eddie Maricevic.)
For more information about the Town of Huntington Bocce Tournament, please call the Department of Citizen Services at 351-2877.
