Scholar Athletes Honored

At the June 9th Town Board meeting, myself and my colleagues on the Huntington Town Board honored 20 local high school seniors who excel in both academics and athletics at the annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Ceremony. Each of the winners – one male and one female from each of the 10 high schools in the Town -- had been selected by their school, which provided biographies that were read at the ceremony. We also honored Town employee Jody Kavanagh with the Richard Ford Service Award for her outstanding work with Camp Bright Star.
