Optimum’s Charity Champions Program recently recognized a wonderful and heartfelt program that was coordinated by the students at St. Anthony’s High School that benefited children with special needs.
The school hosted their 7th annual “Friars Golden Kids Carnival” that matched student volunteers with a special needs child for the entire day.
For their commitment, Optimum Community presented St. Anthony’s with a $1,000 check that will benefit the Center for Developmental Disabilities.
“My congratulations to all of the students involved in the fundraising efforts for such a worthy cause. You are all terrific role models for other young people and clearly believe that everyone should be treated equally with dignity and respect and have the opportunity to reach their potential as contributing members of society,” stated Councilman Mark Cuthbertson. "I also commend Optimum Community for bringing the Charity Champions program to the students in our area," added Cuthbertson.
