Cuthbertson Welcomes the Charles and Helen Reichert Imaging Center to the Dolan Family Health Center in Greenlawn
I recently helped to celebrate the opening of a new state-of-the-art outpatient imaging center at the Dolan Family Health Center in Greenlawn.
Thanks to the generosity of the Reichert Family, the Town has a modernized and high-quality radiological care facility located in the heart of the community.
Fourteen teams consisting of 4 players each converged at Mill Dam Park in Halesite on Saturday, August 1, 2015 to compete in the Town of Huntington Bocce Tournament at the four new bocce courts located there.
Bocce is an old world sport that combines bowling, marbles and the precision of golf. The sport takes skill as a player tosses a two pound ball down a 76 foot long dirt court. Whether aiming for the pallini (a small white sphere that looks like a cue ball) or trying to bump the opposition's ball out of the way, it certainly is more difficult than it looks.
In the end, first place went to “Team American Bocce Club” (Peter Rabito, Bradlee Thayer, Joe Limandri, Guy Desanti,) second place to “Team Queens” (Tony Lisotta, Grace Anzalone, Josephine Stasio, Vinny Guarnaccia) and third place to “Team Croatia” (Dennis Budinich, Rob Bak, Joey Mezic, Eddie Maricevic.)
For more information about the Town of Huntington Bocce Tournament, please call the Department of Citizen Services at 351-2877.

On July 16th, 1981 we tragically lost famous Huntington resident and singer-songwriter, Harry Chapin. In memory of the 34th anniversary, I recently visited the Long Island Cares Harry Chapin Food Bank Open House in Huntington Station. They have a wonderful staff and facility and they are always seeking charitable donations of non-perishable food, toiletries and money to assist those in need.
I would like to thank the staff, along with Mike Haynes, for their warm hospitality and for all of the invaluable services they provide to our community each and every day.
For more information or to inquire about the many volunteer opportunities that are available, please visit the Harry Chapin Food Bank and Humanitarian Center located at 220 Broadway in Huntington Station or call: 631-824-6384 or visit: www.licares.org

I was happy to join my fellow colleagues on the Town Board, along with many local elected leaders and members of the Huntington Chamber of Commerce on July 15th in welcoming IMC Imperial Meat Company to the Town of Huntington with a celebratory ribbon cutting at their new 279 Main Street address in Huntington Village.
I would like to welcome IMC to Huntington’s vibrant and flavorful downtown and extend my best wishes for all the success in the many years ahead.
